Il produttore dub Cienfuego collabora per la prima volta con Jalifa nel loro nuovo singolo “Mi Ready”, un brano che spinge il dub oltre i suoi confini tradizionali, verso audaci territori elettronici.
Noto per le sue profonde radici nella produzione dub e reggae, Cienfuego ha costruito un suono distintivo plasmato da linee di basso potenti, sonorità di ispirazione analogica e una forte cultura dei sound system. Nel corso degli anni ha collaborato con artisti di fama internazionale come Scientist, Luciano, Junior Kelly, Hempress Sativa e Mellow Mood, sviluppando uno stile di produzione che unisce il dub roots classico al sound design moderno. Sebbene il suo lavoro tenda spesso a un approccio dub orientato alle radici, Mi Ready segna una svolta verso una direzione più elettronica e influenzata dalla dubstep.
Il brano vede la partecipazione di Jalifa, una potente vocalist reggae di Trinidad e Tobago la cui voce incisiva e i testi spirituali stanno riscuotendo grande successo nella scena reggae internazionale. Cresciuta in una famiglia rastafariana e attiva fin da giovanissima, ha condiviso il palco con artisti leggendari come Sizzla Kalonji, Capleton e Cocoa Tea, portando una presenza grintosa e inconfondibile a ogni esibizione. In “Mi Ready”, la voce di Jalifa si fa strada tra i bassi profondi e le ipnotiche sonorità dub, aggiungendo intensità e carattere al brano.

BIOGRAFIA
Nel 2020, Cienfuego ha fatto il suo debutto come artista solista producendo il suo primo album, “Dub Expedition” (2020), lavorando con il pluripremiato produttore Walter “Bonnot” Buonanno e il cantante nominato ai Grammy Kumar Bent.
Nel 2021, appena un anno dopo l’uscita del suo primo album, Cienfuego ha incontrato per la prima volta la leggenda della musica dub: Hopeton ”Scientist” Brown e insieme hanno lavorato all’EP “Scientist meets Cienfuego – Mary Jane Inna Dub”. Dopo alcuni mesi ha lavorato con l’artista e cantante giamaicana Hempress Sativa, producendo per lei la musica del singolo ”Scheme” e l’ultima traccia dell’album ”Charka”: ”None But Jah”.
Cienfuego ha anche collaborato alle pubblicazioni insieme a: Junior Kelly, General Levy, Lion D, Awa Fall, Raphael, Earth Beat Movement, Attila, Valter Vincenti, Leo Di Angilla, Michael Hyde e molti altri.
